The Need Project

NCI and the NEED Project work together to teach students, teachers, and the community about solar energy. As NEED’s installation partner, NCI works with schools to design and install the solar system provided by NEED in partnership with the Dominion Energy Solar for Students program and others. NCI has completed over 20 installations for NEED for its various programs across the three-state area in VA, NC, and SC. NCI also works with NEED to provide solar components for Career and Technology Education programs, like the Charlottesville Albemarle Technical Education Center, and also provides expertise in NEED’s workforce training programs like the Solar Career Pathways program with SMUD, Baker Energy, Greater Sacramento Urban League, and Spotlight Solar.
